Leaving Cert Results

Congratulations to the Class of 2021 who received their Leaving Cert and Leaving Cert Applied results on September 3rd. After a senior cycle like no other during the last two years, the release of these long-awaited results finally ended months of hard work, uncertainty and speculation for the 78 young graduates and their families. All of us in Loreto College would like to congratulate all the students on achieving their Leaving Cert and rounding off their secondary education. We are very proud of you.

Patricia Baratu received the highest marks in the school, securing H1 grades in Biology, Chemistry and Business, while also achieving H2 grades in English and Maths. Patricia is hoping to study medicine, where her love of, and expertise in the sciences will stand her in good stead.

2021 was also the first in many years that we got to celebrate a set of Leaving Cert Applied results since the resumption of the programme in Loreto College in 2019. Out of the class of 18 students who achieved their LCA, eight students; Sagal Adan, Ciara Bennett, Ella May Canning, Megan Cochrane, Aaliyah Hutch, Amy McGrath, Shauna Nolan and Darcie O’Driscoll achieved distinctions. Congratulations girls, this is a terrific achievement.

There were impressive results throughout the year group, 25 students achieved over 400 points. Several students achieved hugely impressive results while overcoming personal challenges they experienced during the last 6 years. We are immensely proud of each and every one of you.

For students who sat the examinations, you can find out from Tuesday whether the result you receive was an accredited grade or a result from the June examination.
