Loreto College Crumlin is one of a family of Loreto schools in Ireland and worldwide. The network of Loreto schools in Ireland includes 17 other voluntary secondary schools, 5 community schools and 9 primary schools, two of which are on the Crumlin campus.
Loreto College Crumlin is an all-girls school of 400 students founded in 1930. It serves the local communities of Crumlin, Drimnagh, Rialto, Dolphins Barn as well as attracting a considerable number of students from outside the geographical area where the school is situated.
The diversity and richness of the student population reflects our open enrolment policy. Students with roots in almost 40 countries cross the threshold of our school every day. A piece of sculpture which hangs in the foyer of the school displays the values of Mary Ward, the foundress of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM), known in Ireland as Loreto. These values are Freedom, Sincerity, Justice, Truth and Joy. We try to live these out in Loreto College Crumlin every day we come to school.
Many kinds of excellenceí is the phrase or motto which students chose to have inscribed beside the Mary Ward values. In Loreto College Crumlin, we recognise the contribution of each and every member of our school community. We strive to ensure that each student will reach her potential and that each staff member will develop and grow in the spirit of learning and collaboration.
