Flour Babies Egg-speriment

By Zara Murphy & Ali Carey
As part of our LCA English and Communication class we had to read a novel. The novel chosen was Flour Babies by Anne Fine.

The book is about a class of ‘messers’ in school who have to do an experiment for the Science Fair. The project they have to work on is ‘flour babies’, where they have to mind a bag of flour for the week as though it were a baby.

Our teacher, Ms. Shortall, decided to give us the task of minding an egg for the week as though it were a baby. During that week we had to make sure the egg didn’t fall of crack! Although some a few close calls (we won’t name names) the eggs survived the week intact.
