2017 – Katelyne O’Toole

2017 – Katelyne O’Toole

Class of 2017

Favourite Subject in School:

My favourite subject would have been art but I also loved chemistry and biology.

Memories of Loreto Crumlin:

I have so many great memories in Loreto. The TY musical was one of my favourites. I also loved going to the Aran Islands.

My Journey Through Education:

My journey through education consisted of many nights studying and worrying about exams and homework, but whenever I asked for help I got it. My teachers were more than happy to help and give me extra notes. I remember meeting up with teachers during lunchtimes to see where I was going wrong and what I could improve on. I think that level of support really helped me get through the final few weeks of school and do my best.

My Career Path:

I am currently in my final semester at Maynooth University where I am doing a double major degree in Law and Criminology. This was not my original plan as I was determined to do general science once I finished the Leaving Cert but I had a last-minute change of heart. Now I love what I do. I am currently planning on doing a masters degree in Comparative Criminology and then I will hopefully do a PhD or possibly work in the Correctional Sector/ Penal System.
