Fun Day 2017

It may have rained for most of the day, but that didn’t stop the fun on the school’s annual Fun Day which took place on May 15th.

The day began with a 5km sponsored walk which was undertaken by students and staff to raise funds for our school stage and hall refurbishment.

Karaoke then followed with a fine array of performances from Rihanna to the Spice Girls, Bon Jovi to Cyndi Lauper.  There were many stand-out performances with the duet of Rachel Barron and Erin Kiernan winning first prize.

A break in the rain meant that the outdoor races could take place on the astroturf pitch.  There were sack races, three-legged races, obstacle courses, and a tug-o-war.

Meanwhile, students enjoyed bouncing up and down on the ever-popular bouncy castle and battle raged in the Sumo-suits in the concert hall.  Despite all the clouds and rain, bright smiles could be seen on faces throughout the day.
