General Information
Loreto College Crumlin Road (founded 1930) is an all-girls voluntary second-level Catholic school under the patronage of the Loreto Education Trust . The school accommodates girls between the ages of 12 and 19. There are currently almost 500 students enrolled and a staff of 39. The school is run by the Board of Management appointed by the Loreto Education Trust Board.
The Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (known as the Loreto Order in Ireland) was founded in England in the 17th Century. Today the Order has schools throughout the world, with twenty two schools in Ireland. Eight of these schools are in the Greater Dublin Area.
The Loreto schools share a common educational philosophy and maintain links through inter-school co-operation and activities. |

Class begins each day at 9.00am and ends at 3.40pm on Monday and Tuesday and at 3.00pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Students remain in school for lunch.

The school is situated at the intersection of Crumlin Road and Sundrive Road, opposite the Garda Station. Buses: 17, 22, 50, 50C, 56A, 77, 77A, 150, 210. The Luas Station at Rialto is within walking distance from the school
The uniform is a green skirt, cream blouse, green tie and crested green jumper for Seniors while Juniors wear a crested beige jumper. The school jacket is a green waterproof jacket.
The PE uniform is a crested navy tracksuit and crested white polo shirt. Each team has its own crested kit in the school colours of emerald green, navy and white.
Arnotts of Henry Street is the only official supplier of the uniform. |
