Build a Bridge to Haiti

On Friday 22nd January 2010, the 5th year LCVP Class from Loreto Crumlin built a ‘bridge of money’ to help the people of Haiti in their time of need. A map of Haiti and a map of Ireland was linked by an empty ‘bridge’ and students, parents, staff and friends were invited to pave the bridge with donations to fill the gap between our two countries in order to provide much needed funds for food, water, health care and shelter.

Our target was to raise €4220 (€1 for every mile)
to help the people of Haiti who are suffering so much

At the end of the day, we exceeded our wildest expectations.

On Tuesday 2nd February we presented a cheque for

€18,052

to Concern Worldwide for their Haiti Earthquake Appeal

We thank you on behalf of the suffering people of Haiti for your generosity and support.
